If by chance this does not work..... If you are a woman sit down and have a little cry....... If you are a man sit down and have a little cry..... then compose yourself and start from the top...... since computers seldom make mistakes without human error you will probably get this next time or with a little practice. Whatever you do never give up.....after all this is only a "Machine" and no match for a "Smart Human".
Create a folder to download your file to.
In Explorer:........start.....programs....windows explorer. (Click)
The Windows Explorer will open....on the left window you will find your main
drive usually C: click on the plus in front of it to expand the contents of your drive.......on the right side window... rt click.......and when the drop down window appears go to ....new.....folder (Click)....name the new folder "font transfer".
This will now create a folder on your C: drive called font transfer....this is
where your zip file will go when you download it.
Now you are ready to download your file.
Look up at the buttons with the fonts you can download.
Click one and a window will pop up.....click.....save file.....another window will pop up in the space that says "save in"...click the down arrow at the right hand corner and a drop down window will open now choose C: for your C; drive double click it and it will open all the folders on your C drive
find the font transfer folder we just created....double click it and that will place the file transfer folder in the "save in" field........now click "ok" and your new zip file will be placed in this folder.
Repeat this process for as many of the fonts you wish to take.
Now you are ready to unzip your new fonts.
You must have an unzip program to unzip your files......If you do not have a program for this do it now.....you will have to have this program at some point in the future to unzip files from the web. The best I have found is WinZip and you can find it Here
After you install WinZip you are all ready to unzip and install your fonts.
Start.....programs......windows explorer......locate your C:drive.....and your font transfer folder....double click on it and on the right side of your screen you should see your zip file you just down loaded.
Double click on it and the winzip window will open.....click I accept and another window opens....called "Extract" in the area for .....extract to... you should see your C:\.....now click ....new folder....a small window pops up and name your new folder 11 this will put this temporary folder at the very top of your C:drive and will be very easy to find......hit ok......then extract......and your file is now unzipped into a folder called 11 on your C: drive.....the official path for this file is now C:\11\whatever name.ttf
Repeat for each of your font zip files.....the more the merrier....it is just as easy to install 10 fonts as 1 so grab a bunch.......fonts are the latest style feature for the WWW and you want to see it in all of its glory.
Well you have arrived........its now time to actually install the font or fonts you have collected.
Here are the step by step instructions on how to install the new fonts on your computer using Windows95
Click on Start...Settings...Control Panel...Fonts Icon...
This will access your fonts folder. You might want to check and see that you do not already have these fonts listed first.
Now go up and click on File........Install new Fonts.....
This will open the install new fonts window. Make sure that in the little window designated drives C: is there.
Then under Folders: you will see c:\window.........in the window you can click the path to where you stored your unzipped files. You will double click the C:\.....then the 11 older.....Our example is....c:\11
Under the List of Fonts in the larger window up at the top you should see all of the fonts you just down loaded and unzipped.
Hit "Select All" and.....OK......and like magic they will all be added to your font folder and you should be able to see any of these fonts when you access a page or file anywhere using those fonts.
Now you can enjoy these Gallery pages the way they are suppose to be seen.
