Miri is a Pixie Bob. Now every Meowmie loves her baby but we all have to face up to the reality in a very real world.
My little beauty is a killer. When she was just months old I began to suspicion such when in the middle of the night she would leap about 3 feet in the air and land on what she was sure were little pink wiggly mice. In reality they were my toes. At first she was so little that her teeth and claws could not pierce the blankets ... but as time went on that changed, it was about that time that we had to have some training on what was off-limit dinner. It was a tough learn but finally we made it. Her killer instincts could not however be altered on other victims in the house ... frankly I finally gave up trying.
![]() Proctor and Gamble are no doubt thrilled over my failure and I am equally sorry I do not own stock in their company. We probably have paid for a block of Charmin stock over the years.
The second victim in the house was the silk tassel hanging from the ceiling fan in my office. Have you ever sat and watched a cat and could almost see its thoughts?
![]() Well I would sit and watch Miri sitting below the ceiling fan with a frayed silk tassel and almost hear her calculating how to get that rose colored bird. One such day as I was watching her in a sitting position ... without warning she leaped straight up into the air grabbed that tassel and the cord on the chain snapped and she was off with her rose colored silk bird and under the bed before I could even put my mind in gear to realize what had happened. Needless to say we have no replacement bird to tempt her further.
![]() ![]() We have instead replaced the rose colored silk bird with a yellow canary ... and sometimes a red cardinal and at other times a giant turquoise blue ostrich feather duster. It is so funny to see her running down the hall with a feather duster almost as big as she is trying to get it under the bed before anyone catches her. As a matter of fact now that I think of it I have not seen that duster for some time. That perhaps is a clue on how long it has been since I vacuumed under the bed ... lol.
![]() Everything in this part of the house is fair game. And anything could become the target of her affection. Today it was THAT blue Christmas tree ornament. That one right there at the bottom of the box.
![]() ![]() Okay now that I have it ... I will just guard it until Mom is not paying attention then I will take it to my stash under the bed ... and she will never know.
